ÖGIST & Spine Society

ÖGIST:
The “Österreichische Gesellschaft für Interventionelle Schmerztherapie" (Austrian Society of Interventional Pain Therapy) was founded in November 2009 as a national representation of patients, physicians and health plans for the purpose of being a common source of information. ÖGIST, with Dr. Wolfgang Stelzer as co-founder, has set three main tasks:•

  • To be the contact source for all patients with safety guaranteed and a standardized, therapeutic approach.
  • To exist as a scientific forum for physicians to establish innovative therapies in pain management with training and educational mission on display.
  • To carry out scientific analysis and statistical evaluation to ensure optimal quality of treatment.

Spine Society:
The "International Spine Intervention Society" was founded in 1989 in America by representatives of various disciplines (anesthesiology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, radiology) for the standardization of fluoroscopically targeted interventions on the spine.

Ongoing development and evaluation of techniques yield a coherent and above all safe plan to ensure optimum efficiency with the most minimal amount of complications possible.

Due to its adherence to the highest quality and safety guidelines, The "Medical Center SchmerzLOS" is entitled to treat with the criteria from the Spine Society. Medical work in accordance to the ÖGIST and the Spine Society serves primarily as a guarantor of the innovative, scientifically established and safe forms of therapy for the patients.
